Talk-Through Approach: Dr. Andrus can walk you through each step of the procedure as it’s happening, so there are no surprises.
Nitrous Oxide (Laughing Gas): A safe, effective way to help you relax during treatment.
Oral Sedation: We may prescribe medication for the night before and the day of your appointment to help reduce anxiety. You’ll need a driver to accompany you.
Non-IV Conscious Sedation: A deeper relaxation method that doesn’t require needles or IVs. You’ll feel calm, relaxed, and many patients don’t even remember the appointment afterward.
We also incorporate thoughtful, sensory-friendly features like overhead TVs, soft lighting, and calming music. Our goal is to help you regain control over your oral health—without fear standing in the way.
When it’s time for your exam, we begin with a comprehensive look at your oral and overall health. First, we’ll take digital X-rays and a full scan of your jaw. We’ll also use our iTero 3D scanner to capture a full digital model of your teeth and bite.
Your hygienist will gently measure your gums to assess gum health and determine what type of cleaning you need. We take the time to get it right because we know that oral health isn’t one-size-fits-all.
We’ll also use:
Infrared technology to detect early signs of cavities between the teeth
Intraoral photography to show you exactly what we’re seeing
Digital charting so everything is recorded clearly and shared easily
If needed, we may also take a cone beam CT scan, which provides a detailed 3D image of your teeth, jaw, and surrounding structures. This level of diagnostic precision helps us spot issues early—and explain them in a way that makes sense to you.
